NTSB Safety Recommendation — Aviation

Recommendation text

THE NTSB RECOMMENDS THAT THE AIR TRANSPORT ASSOCIATION, THE REGIONAL AIRLINES ASSOCIATION, AND SELECTED AIRLINES THAT ARE NOT MEMBERS OF THE AIR TRANSPORT ASSOCIATION OR THE REGIONAL AIRLINE ASSOCIATION: ENCOURAGE ALL EMPLOYEES AND THEIR FAMILIES, WHEN FLYING AS PASSENGERS FOR PERSONAL OR BUSINESS REASONS, TO SET AN EXAMPLE OF ATTENTIVENESS TO ORAL BRIEFINGS AND DEMONSTRATIONS, AND VIDEOTAPED SAFETY BRIEFINGS AND OF READING THE SAFETY CARDS.

In plain language (FlightFinder summary)

The National Transportation Safety Board asks the Air Transport Association, the Regional Airlines Association, and certain non-member airlines to urge their employees and employees' families to pay close attention to all safety briefings, demonstrations, and safety cards when traveling as passengers, thereby setting an example for other flyers.

This plain-language summary is written by FlightFinder to explain the recommendation above. It is not the official wording — the verbatim NTSB text is quoted above.
