THE NTSB RECOMMENDS THAT THE FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION: REQUIRE THE BELLANCA AIRCRAFT CORPORATION TO REVISE THE AIRPLANE FLIGHT MANUALS OF 1967 THROUGH 1972 BELLANCA VIKING (MODELS 17-30 AND -31) AND SUPER VIKING (MODELS 17-30A AND -31A) AIRPLANES TO INCLUDE A UNIFIED, IMPROVED DESCRIPTION OF THE OPERATION OF THE FUEL SYSTEM, SPECIFIC OPERATING INFORMATION ABOUT MANAGEMENT OF AVAILABLE FUEL RESOURCES, AND THE MOST EFFECTIVE EMERGENCY PROCEDURES TO RESTART THE ENGINE IN FLIGHT.
