THE NTSB RECOMMENDS THAT THE FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION: ISSUE AN AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE APPLICABLE TO PISTON-POWERED PIPER PA-31 SERIES; PIPER (AEROSTAR) 600/700 SERIES; GULFSTREAM COMMANDER 500/600/700 SERIES; AND CESSNA 300/400 SERIES AIRPLANES REQUIRING THAT FUEL PORT RESTRICTORS, SUCH AS THOSE MANUFACTURED BY SHAW AERO DEVICES, INC., OR THE RESPECTIVE AIRCRAFT MANUFACTURER, BE INSTALLED TO PREVENT MISFUELING.
