THE NTSB RECOMMENDS THAT THE FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION: ASSIGN A HIGH PRIORITY TO THE WESTERN-PACIFIC REGION'S TERMINAL FACILITY CONSOLIDATION AND RELOCATION PROJECT THAT WILL PROVIDE A NEW FACILITY FOR CONSOLIDATION OF THE LOS ANGELES, COAST, BURBANK, AND ONTARIO TERMINAL RADAR APPROACH CONTROLS. THIS HIGH PRIORITY SHOULD INCLUDE ACCELERATED SITE SELECTION, LAND ACQUISITION IF NECESSARY, FACILITY DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION, AND FACILITY EQUIPMENT PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION.
