(URGENT)

In plain language (FlightFinder summary)

The FAA is asked to issue an emergency airworthiness directive for Garrett TFE731-2, -3, and -3R engines with fan disc part numbers 3072162 or 3073436 in any dash number. The directive would require an initial inspection for cracks in the blade slot area at substantially fewer than 3,300 service cycles, followed by recurrent inspections at intervals that will prevent failure.

This plain-language summary is written by FlightFinder to explain the recommendation above. It is not the official wording — the verbatim NTSB text is quoted above.
