THE NTSB RECOMMENDS THAT THE FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION: REVISE THE PERFORMANCE STANDARDS FOR GROUND PROXIMITY WARNING SYSTEMS (GPWS) CONTAINED IN TECHNICAL ORDER TSO-C92 AND AMEND 14 CFR 121.360 TO: REQUIRE THAT ALL AIRPLANES NEWLY MANUFACTURED AFTER AN APPROPRIATE DATE BE EQUIPPED WITH GROUND PROXIMITY WARNING SYSTEMS THAT CONFORM TO TECHNICAL STANDARD ORDER TSO-C92 AS REVISED ACCORDING TO SAFETY RECOMMENDATIONS A-92-39 THROUGH -42.
