In plain language (FlightFinder summary)
The NTSB asks the FAA to issue an airworthiness directive for certain Bellanca aircraft models (14-19-3, 14-19-3A, 17-30, 17-30A, 17-31, 17-31A, 17-31TC, and 17-ATC) requiring periodic inspections for cracks in the nose landing gear drag strut brackets, specifically at the bend radius and bolt through-holes. The inspection program must cover airplanes listed in Bellanca Service Letter No. 76, those with brackets replaced per that service letter, and those built after January 4, 1973; any cracked brackets must be replaced with parts specified in the service letter.
This plain-language summary is written by FlightFinder to explain the recommendation above. It is not the official wording — the verbatim NTSB text is quoted above.
