NTSB Safety Recommendation — Aviation

Recommendation text

THE NTSB RECOMMENDS THAT THE FAA: REQUIRE SPECIAL CONDITIONS WITHIN THE OPERATIONS SPECIFICATIONS ESTABLISHED BY A-95-58 FOR ALL AIR TOUR OPERATORS, SIMILAR TO THE SPECIAL CONDITIONS CONTAINED IN SFAR 50-2, SFAR 71, AND FAA HANDBOOK 8400.10 BULLETIN 92-01, TO ACCOMMODATES LOCALIZED AIRSPACE RESTRICTIONS AND OTHER UNIQUE CONDITIONS FOR SUCH OPERATIONS. (Supersedes Safety Recommendations A-93-008 through A-93-010)

In plain language (FlightFinder summary)

The FAA is asked to mandate special conditions in the operations specifications of all air tour operators, modeled after existing rules and a handbook bulletin, to address local airspace limits and other unique circumstances. This request replaces earlier safety recommendations A-93-008 through A-93-010.

This plain-language summary is written by FlightFinder to explain the recommendation above. It is not the official wording — the verbatim NTSB text is quoted above.
