THE NTSB RECOMMENDS THAT THE FAA: ISSUE AN AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE REQUIRING REPETITIVE EDDY-CURRENT INSPECTIONS OF ALUMINUM KRUEGER FLAP AFT SUPPORT FITTINGS INSTALLED ON BOEING 737-100 OR -200 SERIES AIRPLANES UNTIL THE FITTINGS HAVE BEEN REPLACED WITH STEEL FITTINGS, IN ACCORDANCE WITH BOEING SERVICE BULLETIN 737-57-1129, BEFORE COMPLETING THE NEXT C CHECK OR 3000 FLIGHT HOURS, WHICHEVER OCCURS FIRST.
