Recommendation text

THE NTSB RECOMMENDS THAT THE FAA: REVIEW THE PROCESS & PROCEDURES BY WHICH THE FAA'S AIRCRAFT CERTIFICATION OFFICES & MANAGEMENT RESOLVE & BRING TO CLOSURE RECOMMENDATIONS THAT ARE PRESENTED IN INTERNAL DOCUMENTS, INCLUDING SPECIAL CERTIFICATION REVIEWS, & TAKE APPROPRIATE ACTION, IF NECESSARY, TO ENSURE THAT EACH RECOMMENDATION IS PROPERLY REVIEWED & THAT THE DISPOSITION OF THE RECOMMENDATIONS IS PROPERLY DOCUMENTED. (Supersedes Safety Recommendations A-94-144 and A-95-003)

In plain language (FlightFinder summary)

The NTSB asks the FAA to review how its aircraft certification offices and management handle recommendations from internal documents, including special certification reviews, and to take any needed steps to ensure each recommendation is properly reviewed and its outcome documented. This recommendation replaces two earlier ones (A-94-144 and A-95-003).

This plain-language summary is written by FlightFinder to explain the recommendation above. It is not the official wording — the verbatim NTSB text is quoted above.
