THE NTSB RECOMMENDS THAT THE FAA: DETERMINE APPROPRIATE INSPECTION INTERVALS FOR HELICOPTERS POWERED BY ALLISON 250 SERIES TURBOSHAFT ENGINES AND THEN REQUIRE THAT PERIODIC INSPECTIONS BE ACCOMPLISHED ON THOSE ENGINE FUEL NOZZLE SCREENS TO PREVENT THE ACCUMULATION OF CONTAMINANTS THAT COULD ALTER THE FUEL DELIVERY, ENGINE PERFORMANCE, AND ULTIMATELY CLOG THE FUEL NOZZLE SCREEN AND CAUSE ENGINE POWER LOSS.
