TO THE FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION: Revise the requirements for evacuation system operational demonstrations and maintenance procedures in air carrier maintenance programs to improve the reliability of evacuation systems on the basis of an analysis of the demonstrations recommended in A-99-100. Participants in the analysis should include representatives from aircraft and slide manufacturers, airline operators, and crewmember and maintenance associations.
