Background
A pilot provided a report to investigators regarding a flight he operated. According to the pilot, company management requested he take a business flight that he did not wish to take. He suggested that another pilot take the flight, but management instead elected to have another pilot accompany him on the flight.
Sequence of Events
The pilot reported that during the landing, he was attempting to touch down "on the numbers" of a relatively short runway. He stated that he got the airplane too slow too soon, which led to an inadvertent hard landing short of the runway.
Pilot's Account
In his account, the pilot noted that he had some personal problems that were distracting him. In retrospect, he said that he should have refused to take the flight because of these distractions. The pilot did not specify any injuries, aircraft damage, or other consequences resulting from the hard landing.
