During the conclusion of a cross-country flight, the airplane entered the traffic pattern for a right-hand circuit. While on final approach and just before landing, the airplane stalled and dropped onto the runway from an estimated height of 10 feet.
Upon contacting the runway, the airplane bounced and became airborne again. The pilot responded by applying full power, and the airplane climbed to approximately 60 to 80 feet in a nose-high attitude. At that point, the left wing dropped, causing the airplane to descend back toward the runway.
The pilot managed to level the wings just before the airplane contacted the runway surface. After touchdown, the airplane veered left, departing the runway. It then traveled through a fence, continued down an embankment, and came to a stop in an inverted position.
