Incident Overview
A certificated commercial pilot, who also owned a fishing lodge, was landing a float-equipped airplane on a remote lake. The purpose of the flight was to check on the status of his clients. During the landing approach, the airplane encountered a gust of wind and subsequently collided with trees bordering the lake.

The collision resulted in damage to the wings and floats. Following the incident, a field repair was performed on the float assembly. After the temporary repair, the airplane was flown to Anchorage for permanent repairs.
