Accident Overview and Damage Assessment The aircraft sustained substantial damage during a forced landing that followed a loss of engine power. The landing occurred on soft and rough terrain, which caused the airplane to nose over before it came to a complete stop. ## Fuel Analysis and Flight History The aircraft had been fueled with 100 gallons prior to the incident. During flight, the engine consumed approximately 35 gallons per hour. The pilot estimated that the total flight time since the last refueling was between 2.5 and 3 hours, accumulated over two or three separate flights. After the accident, investigators recovered a total of 4 gallons of fuel from the aircraft. According to the Federal Aviation Administration Type Certificate Data Sheet, the aircraft's unusable fuel was listed at 6 gallons. No evidence of fuel contamination was found. ## Post-Accident Examination A post-accident examination of the aircraft and its engine did not reveal any pre-impact anomalies.
