What happened
A private pilot with 630 total flight hours, including 79 hours in this specific make and model, was performing a landing on Runway 17. The runway is an asphalt surface measuring 3,204 feet in length and 60 feet in width. During the landing phase, the aircraft experienced a hard landing.
The impact caused the nose landing gear assembly to collapse. Furthermore, the force of the landing pushed the upper ends of both the left and right main landing gears upward through the wing skin. Following the incident, the aircraft remained in an upright position. The pilot and the passenger were able to exit the aircraft without assistance. No injuries were reported for the occupants.
