During this climb, the aircraft experienced a sudden upset characterized by an uncommanded right roll of 36 degrees, followed by a 57-degree left roll and a nose-down pitch.

Following the upset, the crew declared an emergency and diverted the flight to Calgary. The aircraft landed in Calgary without further incident.
