What happened
On May 2, 2008, at approximately 2043 UTC, a Cessna 310Q, registered as PT-JGX, disappeared while on approach to Ilheus, Brazil. The aircraft, operated by Aero Star Airlines, was in contact with air traffic services prior to its disappearance and had not reported any mechanical or operational issues.
The aircraft was carrying two pilots and four passengers, all of whom were 6 fatalities. The four passengers were citizens of the United Kingdom.
