What happened
On February 24, 2009, at 1600 UTC, a Cirrus Design Corporation SR22, registered as D-EPDK, crashed near Itzehoe, Germany. The aircraft impacted terrain under circumstances that remain unknown. At the time of the accident, weather conditions were characterized by visual meteorological conditions (VMC) with a visibility of 6 statute miles and winds from 300 degrees at 7 knots.
The accident resulted in 4 fatal injuries. The occupants included the pilot and three passengers.
