Accident Summary
A solo private pilot was landing a tailwheel-equipped airplane on a dry, hard-surfaced runway at the conclusion of a personal flight under Title 14, Code of Federal Regulations Part 91. During the landing, the airplane bounced slightly, prompting the pilot to add engine power to cushion the touchdown. As the airplane touched down again, it ground looped to the left. The right wing and right elevator struck the runway, causing substantial damage to the right wing, right elevator, and fuselage.
