What happened
On October 3, 2009, at 11:30 Western Standard Time, an Air Tractor AT-502, registration VH-ODP, crashed 47 km east northeast of Narrogin, Australia. The aircraft, operated by Agricair Pty Limited, was performing agricultural spraying operations at the time of the accident.
The flight originated from a paddock on a property in Wikepin, Australia. Shortly after takeoff, the aircraft collided with the ground. The property owner later discovered the wreckage, which had impacted the earth in an inverted attitude. The accident occurred under visual meteorological conditions (VMC).
The pilot, who was the sole occupant, sustained 1 fatal injury. There were no witnesses to the event, and the aircraft sustained substantial damage.
