What happened
On June 13, 2010, at approximately 1800 central daylight time, a Cessna 208B, registration XA-TWK, experienced a loss of control during its initial climb from the Felipe Carrillo Puerto airstrip in Felipe Carrillo Puerto, Quintana Roo, Mexico. The aircraft impacted a heavily wooded area located approximately 0.12 nautical miles northeast of the runway departure end.
The accident resulted in 9 fatal injuries, involving the two pilots and seven passengers on board. At the time of the accident, weather conditions were characterized by visual meteorological conditions.
