What happened
On June 18, 2010, at approximately 1118 UTC, a Bolkow BO105, registration LV-WJX, was conducting a business flight to photograph an automobile accident. The flight originated from San Fernando Airport in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
During its descent into a densely populated residential neighborhood, the helicopter collided with tall trees and overhead power lines. The aircraft then struck the roof of a residence. The impact was followed by a post-impact fire that destroyed the helicopter. The flight was operating under visual meteorological conditions (VMC) with visibility of 10 statute miles.
There were 2 fatalities involving the pilot and the photographer; there were no other injuries.
