Accident Overview
On June 18, 2010, at approximately 1118 UTC, a Bolkow BO-105 helicopter (registration LV-WJX) operated by a private owner on a business flight to photograph an automobile accident, collided with tall trees and overhead power lines, and struck the roof of a residence during its descent into a densely populated residential neighborhood. The helicopter was destroyed by a post-impact fire. The pilot and the photographer on board were killed.
