What happened
On June 21, 2010, at approximately 0145 UTC, a Cessna 172N, registration VH-UFN, crashed into water near Broken Hill, New South Wales, Australia. The aircraft had departed from Woolcunda Homestead, NSW, at an undetermined time.
After being reported missing, the aircraft was located submerged in water. The impact resulted in 1 fatality for the pilot, who was the sole occupant of the aircraft. The airplane sustained substantial damage.
