What happened
On August 24, 2010, at approximately 7:30 AM local time, an Agorest Air Dornier 228 crashed into terrain near Kathmandu, Nepal. The aircraft, registration 9N-AHE, was en route from Kathmandu-Tribhuvan Airport (KTM) to Lukla-Tenzing-Hillary Airport (LUA) when it impacted the ground roughly 20 miles south of the departure airport.
The accident resulted in 14 fatal injuries to the passengers and crew on board. The aircraft was destroyed upon impact.
