What happened

On August 27, 2010, a Cessna U206F, registration N35851, was performing a local flight in support of a remote lodge operation near Aleknagik, Alaska. The flight was being conducted under Title 14, CFR Part 91. While the aircraft was in the cruise phase of flight, a loon struck the right side of the cockpit windscreen. The impact was forceful enough to penetrate the windscreen, and the bird subsequently came to rest in the unoccupied passenger cabin. There were no injuries resulting from the incident.
