What happened
On August 8, 2015, at 17:08 UTC, a mid-air collision occurred over the Istra Reservoir in Istra, Russia. The incident involved a Cessna U206F, bearing registration RA-67523, and a Robinson R44 II helicopter, registration RA-04383.
Both aircraft were maneuvering over the reservoir when they collided. Following the impact, both the airplane and the helicopter crashed into the water and were destroyed. The accident resulted in 9 fatal injuries, including the pilot and four passengers aboard the Cessna, and the pilot and three passengers aboard the Robinson helicopter.
