What happened
On February 12, 2011, at 13:40 local time, an Indonesian Aerospace 212-100, registration PK-ZAI, crashed under unknown circumstances after departing Hang Nadim Airport in Batam, Indonesia. The aircraft, operated by PT Sabang Merauke Air Charter, was performing a test flight following a Honeywell TPE331 engine change. The flight was destined for Raja Haji Fisabilillah Airport.
The accident resulted in 5 fatal injuries. The occupants of the aircraft included two pilots and three mechanics.
