Accident Overview and Flight Details On March 8, 2011, at approximately 1628 mountain standard time, a Douglas AD-4N, registration N2088G, impacted terrain in the Sawtooth National Forest. The aircraft was owned and operated by the pilot. The crash site was located about 30 miles south-southeast of Joslin Field-Magic Valley Regional Airport (TWF) in Twin Falls, Idaho. The airplane sustained substantial damage from impact forces and a postimpact fire, resulting in the fatal injuries of the private pilot and one passenger. The flight originated from Wendover Airport (ENV) in Wendover, Utah, at approximately 1550. It was a personal flight conducted under 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 91, with no flight plan filed.
