Incident
On April 17, 2011, at approximately 1300 UTC, a Boeing 777 aircraft registered in China as B2078 was involved in a tailstrike event while conducting a go-around. The airplane was owned and operated by China Cargo Airlines. The five occupants—four flightcrew members and one passenger—were not injured. The aircraft itself incurred substantial damage as a result of the occurrence.
Investigation
The investigation into the incident is being led by the Accident Investigation Board of Denmark. In accordance with ICAO Annex 13, the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) of the United States has appointed a U.S. Accredited Representative, as the state of manufacture of the aircraft.
