What happened
On September 9, 2011, at 12:23 local time, a Cessna 208B, registration PK-VVE, collided with mountains approximately 8 nautical miles northeast of Wamena Airport in West Papua, Indonesia. The aircraft was performing a cargo flight from Wamena Airport to the Kenyam Airstrip in the Ndu Hydrogen District.
The collision resulted in 2 fatalities for the crew members on board. The aircraft sustained substantial damage during the impact.
