Incident Overview

A pilot conducting a positioning flight experienced a sudden change in weather conditions while cruising at approximately 400 feet above ground level. The helicopter was following a highway when the ceiling rapidly lowered, transitioning the flight from visual meteorological conditions (VMC) to instrument meteorological conditions (IMC).

Collision with Power Lines
