What happened
On February 28, 2012, at approximately 1020 UTC, a Cessna 208B bearing registration PT-PTB was involved in an accident during the initial climb phase of flight. The aircraft, operated by Cleiton Taxi Aereo Ltda., had just departed from Aeroporto Flores (SWFN) in Manaus, Brazil, and was en route to Eduardo Gomes International Airport (SBEG).
During the climb, the aircraft struck a lamppost and the ground, resulting in substantial damage to the airframe. The pilot, who was the sole occupant of the aircraft, sustained 1 fatal injury.
