Cessna 172N Crash in Miranda, Venezuela

Incident Overview On March 3, 2012, at approximately 1259 UTC, a Cessna 172N aircraft bearing the Venezuelan registration YV105E was destroyed when it struck terrain while in cruise flight. The accident occurred near Municipio Zamora, Parroquia Bolivar, in the Miranda state of Venezuela. The pilot sustained fatal injuries in the crash. The flight had originated from Oscar Machado Zuloaga Airport (SVCS), also located in Miranda, earlier that same day.
