What happened

On April 20, 2012, at approximately 1840 local time, Bhoja Air flight BH0213 crashed while approaching runway 30 at Benazir Bhutto International Airport in Islamabad, Pakistan. The Boeing 737-236, operating as AP-BKC, had departed from Jinnah International Airport in Karachi.

The aircraft impacted the ground approximately 3.7 miles short of the runway. At the time of the accident, the area was experiencing heavy rain and thunderstorms. The crash resulted in 127 fatalities and the total destruction of the aircraft. There were no survivors among the passengers or crew.
