What happened
On May 13, 2012, at approximately 20:30 local time, a Cessna T210M, registered as XB-MPL, struck terrain in the Manabí Province of Ecuador. The aircraft was traveling from an unknown origin and had not established contact with Ecuadorian aviation authorities prior to the accident.
The crash resulted in 2 fatal injuries to the pilot and the passenger. The nationality of the occupants was not determined.
