What happened
On June 21, 2012, at 1332 UTC, a Reims Aviation F-150L, registered as OE-ATV, crashed near Strasswalchen, Austria. The aircraft had departed from Salzburg, W. A. Mozart Airport (LOWS) for a personal flight. During the flight, the aircraft departed controlled flight and impacted terrain approximately 3 miles east of Strasswalchen.
At the time of the accident, the weather was characterized by visual meteorological conditions (VMC) with a visibility of 6 statute miles and winds from 320 degrees at 08 knots. The accident resulted in 2 fatal injuries to the pilot and passenger on board.
