What happened
On July 28, 2012, at approximately 1000 UTC, a Hawker-Beechcraft Model 200, registered as PR-DOC, crashed while attempting to land at Francisco Alvares De Assis Airport (SBJF) in Juiz de Fora, Brazil. The aircraft was performing a non-precision instrument approach in dense fog when it struck trees, electrical power lines, and various structures. The impact occurred roughly 450 meters before the landing threshold of runway 03. The accident resulted in 8 fatal injuries, claiming the lives of the pilots and all six passengers on board.
The flight had originated from Pampulha-Carlos Drumond De Andrade Airport (SBBH) in Belo Horizonte, Brazil.
