Accident Overview
On August 24, 2012, at 0551 universal coordinated time, a Piper PA-31-350 aircraft, registration PK-IWH, operated by PT. Intan Angkasa Air Service under the civil regulations of Indonesia, collided with Mt. Tundung Mayang near Bontang, Indonesia. The collision occurred at an elevation of 1,300 feet.
Injuries and Damage
The pilot and three passengers sustained fatal injuries. The aircraft was substantially damaged.
