What happened
On November 11, 2012, at approximately 1655 Western European time, a Reims-Cessna F150H aircraft, registration EI-AST, crashed near Birr Airfield (EIBR) in Birr, Ireland. The aircraft, which was being operated by Ormand Flying Club Ltd, was conducting a local flight that had originated from EIBR.
At the time of the accident, visual meteorological conditions (VMC) were in effect. The impact with the terrain destroyed the airplane. The two pilots on board sustained 2 fatal injuries.
