Accident
On September 9, 2013, at approximately 1845 Mountain Standard Time, a Canadian Coast Guard helicopter crashed into ocean waters near McClure Strait, Canada. The helicopter was a Messerschmitt-Bolkow-Blohm (MBB) BO105-S model, bearing Canadian registration C-GCFU. All three crew members on board were fatally injured.
Investigation
The Transportation Safety Board of Canada is conducting an investigation into the accident. As the State of Manufacture of the engines, the National Transportation Safety Board has designated a U.S. accredited representative to assist the TSB in its investigation.
