Accident
On November 16, 2013, at approximately 2354 Coordinated Universal Time, a Sikorsky S76 C++ helicopter, Korean registration HL9294, collided with a 26-story apartment building in Seoul, Korea. The aircraft, operated by LG Electronics Co. Ltd., sustained substantial damage as a result of the impact. Both crew members on board received fatal injuries.

The helicopter involved was a Sikorsky S76 C++, a twin-engine multi-purpose helicopter. It was registered in South Korea with the registration number HL9294. The operator was LG Electronics Co. Ltd.
Investigation
The Republic of Korea Aviation and Railway Accident Investigation Board (ARAIB) is conducting the investigation into the accident. As the state of manufacture of the helicopter, the United States National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has designated a U.S. Accredited Representative to assist ARAIB under the provisions of Annex 13 to the Convention on Civil Aviation.
