What happened
On November 30, 2013, an Embraer ERJ190, registration 9C-EMC, was involved in an aviation accident in Rundu, Namibia. The accident resulted in 33 fatalities.
The Namibia Ministry of Works and Transport (MWT) notified the NTSB of the occurrence. Due to the engines being manufactured and designed in the United States, the NTSB appointed a U.S. Accredited Representative to support the investigation conducted by the MWT under ICAO Annex 13 protocols.
