What happened

On January 6, 2014, at approximately 0700 UTC, a Cirrus SR22, registration F-HAPH, was conducting a flight from Grenoble–Isère Airport (LFL/LFLS) to Lyon-Bron Airport (LFLY). While cruising at flight level 90, approximately 9,000 feet, the aircraft experienced a loss of engine power. In response to the power loss, the pilot deployed the Cirrus Airframe Parachute System (CAPS). The aircraft subsequently descended into a field near Le Pin, France. There were no injuries to the pilot or the passenger.
