What happened
On April 20, 2014, at 12:40 UTC, a Comp Air 8, registered as OH-XDZ, was involved in an accident near Jamijarvi Airfield (EFJM) in Jamijarvi, Finland. The aircraft was operating a skydiving flight under visual meteorological conditions when it departed controlled flight. Following the loss of control, the airplane impacted a forest, which resulted in a post-impact fire.
Of the 10 passengers on board, there were 7 fatalities and 4 minor injuries. The pilot was among those who sustained minor injuries.
