What happened
On June 14, 2014, at approximately 1240 UTC, a Cessna F150L, registration G-YIII, struck the ground near Hucknall Airfield (EGNA) in Nottinghamshire, United Kingdom. The impact with the terrain resulted in 2 fatalities for the pilot and passenger. The aircraft sustained substantial damage during the accident.
The investigation
The investigation is being conducted by the Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) of the United Kingdom. The United States has provided an accredited representative to assist in the investigation as the state of design.
