Accident Overview
On September 7, 2014, at approximately 1535 coordinated universal time, a Cessna 172R aircraft, bearing Brazilian registration PR-TOT, sustained substantial damage after impacting powerlines during a go-around maneuver near the Comandante Gastao Airport (SDVI) in Tangara da Serra Municipality, State of Mato Grosso, Brazil.
Injuries and Damage
The pilot received serious injuries. One passenger sustained minor injuries, while the other passenger received fatal injuries. The aircraft was substantially damaged.
