What happened
On September 19, 2014, at 06:36 UTC, a Cessna 172P, registration PK-MSN, was involved in an accident near Trunojoyo Airport in Sumenep, Indonesia. The aircraft, which was operated by Merpati Pilot School, collided with terrain during the initial climb phase shortly after departing the airport.
The sole occupant of the aircraft, a student pilot, sustained 1 fatal injury. The impact resulted in the destruction of the airplane.
