What happened

On February 15, 2015, a Boeing 767-204ER, operated by Shaheen Air International and leased from Jordan Air, was performing a takeoff roll from Islamabad International Airport (ISB) in Pakistan. During the takeoff roll, the aircraft's No. 1 engine, a General Electric CF6-80A2 turbofan, failed.

The flightcrew reported hearing a loud bang followed by a fire warning. In response to the engine failure, the crew performed an air turnback. The aircraft landed safely, and there were no injuries reported following the event.
